Upholstered furniture: Since 2023, sofas and armchairs containing persistent organic pollutants must be incinerated rather than landfilled or resold. That applies to most soft furniture made before recent years.
Fridges and freezers: These have to be degassed by a licensed facility before the shell can be recycled. It is a separate process with a separate fee.
Mattresses and tyres: Both are banned from landfill and go to dedicated processors.

Building and renovation waste
We clear rubble, bricks, broken tiles, timber, plasterboard, old kitchen units, bathroom suites and skirting. Renovation jobs produce more weight than volume, so pricing works differently from household rubbish removal Liverpool customers usually book.
